Useful Websites

Part of being successful in business is not just being efficient but also being effective. Sometimes it is hard to know if there is a better way to do something, or a tool/gadget that makes a particular task easier.
Two of my favorite websites to track for such answers are Cool Tools and Life Hacker.
Cool Tools reviews tools and gadgets that are either new to the market, have little notice in the market, or have new uses that a current owner may find interesting. I like to scan their recent posts once or twice a month. Almost always find something that is suddenly a "must have" item.
For example, who doesn't need one of the Stress Erasers recently profiled, or Russell Moccasin Footwear at $360 a pair, or a new design for a home made alcohol stove. Yes, Cool Tools sometimes has DIY items, too.
Life Hacker gives you ideas about making your life more productive. As software hackers try to change how software works, Life Hacker wants to change the way your life works. There are surveys and "community consense" topics, but also useful pointers to software, websites, articles and books that everyday people can learn from.
Recent articles about laptop security options for Windows and Mac users, review of the privacy-protecting LetsCall.Me service and previews of the new Google Chrome browser give you an idea of just how varied the content is.
Enjoy exploring!
